On Thursday, I decided to go to DXB to drop my application for "Sheikh Rashid award". Drove all the way to the Nadwah new building at Memzar. It was a fresh, nice building with Arabic calligraphy on the walls.
I missed my event at TAKATOF because of the home improvement work and the paper. Eh, I am sure this won’t be their last event. My Next post will have some Luck in it. Pray for me,,,,, :-)
I asked security to escort me to the “Sheikh Rashid Award” office so I can submit my papers. I was admiring the marble and interior design of the building as we walked to the office. Once I reached my destination, I was greeted by the officer in charge of receiving the application. “Sorry you had to come all the way from A.D., last week we had instructions to postpone receiving applications until the 17th of July!”
I didn’t say a word, I had a disappointment look on my face. In my mind, I screamed “Why me?!?!” the guy felt sorry for me and he decided to take me around and show me the building.

I didn’t need the tour, but didn’t want to let him down.
15 min later, I left on my way to Dragon Mart to buy some cheap effective stuff. I made a purchase for 8 walkie-talkies for house use. .

I want Mom to use the device rather than having to scream her requirements through glass and walls to call the maids.
Well, as for the rest of the day, I spent it in completing my Organizational Behavior paper. . I am almost done. . .That’s my home office. Now how many LoOoooChALs do you know that have an office like that at home :-P plenty? It soothes me to know I am not the only geeky nerd with a home office.

hmmm, wat an interesting blog. somehow u seem a real nerd from the way you write things over here. Ne ways, hard luck maybe next time u get ur change, it is ur fate not to participate in that competition. and guess what not all what a person seeks, takes.
About moms yelling for maids, it is common in every house, and somehow it special when you live in a calm house like mine, at least u get to hear someone alive in there :P.
and yeah, u don't need to have an office to be a nerd, as long as u have space, then its heaven.
looking forward to read more updates.
@karamilah: Thanks for stopping by. Glad you found something that interests you here. .
I am new in this blog business. I didn’t know what or where to start. I had an advice from an expert who said:
“what colors a blog uses doesn't matter in the long run, what matters is what goes in there. Is it honest? is it straight from the gut? is it trying to hide something/reveal something? people can tell when you're honest, and if you're creating a personal space you'd better be that, otherwise, there's no point.”
i seriously enjoyed reading your posts.. i can totally relate to your first post I also want to start my own blog wish i had the potential though! can you help? good luck submitting your application next time i would recommend calling them next time before you go..

Why wouldn’t you have the potential? You made a post, that’s a good start. Go on and continue. But you have to spend some times preparing your outlay. Try the weekend.
