1/2 Empty. . .

As I marched to my job interview today, thoughts about the agony of changing careers rallied through my head.

Am I ready for change?
Would the new guys welcome me with open arms?

It’s been almost 2 years with my current employer. Things are not quite the same when I joined, I must say. Not in terms of treatment, but in terms of career plan and pay.

I must be fair, there are lovely people who back me up and believe in my capabilities at work. People of different background and experiences who told me that I could achieve something here.

I’d like to believe what they think. However, time waits for no one and I can’t waste any of it because I am burning out, , , slowly.

I understand why “life is not fair”. I am certain about the following formula:

Luck = Opportunity + Chance.

Nevertheless, I am in a dilemma of diving into new uncharted waters and fighting the waves of uncertainty.

I am keeping my fingers crossed and hands up calling the one & only. I know he is listing.
I’d like to think that my existence in this world is no accident.

:-)

I’ll have to wait and see, I guess.

N-JoY the song.

and for LUCK = OPPORTUNITY + CHANCE, I would change the word luck to fate, e7m, I dont believe in something called luck. It is destiny that shapes life not luck. e7m

@ karamilah: lol, Ok if yo say so. I don't think there is much of a difference between luck & fate

One can cheat luck, but fate is already written from the day Allah created Ubona Adam...you see, The way I see it, Allah- sub7aneh- gave us choices. fate reveals its self based on our choice.

(its conditional ya3ny- If I do something, then there should be a number of posibilities, some know, others unknown)

i thought (crossing fingers) is when Christians pray for Jesus. Careful with using such terms. & May allah bring all the good luck and happiness .. success and achievement to your way with any path you decide to follow. God bliss you =)

Good luck with the interview. I'm curious to know where did you decide to apply =)

Having a boss that would back you up is one of the greatest things at work, no matter what your career plan looks like on paper or charts, you won't get there without having a boss that believes in your capabilities and delegates authority to you and allows you full ownership of your pieces of work.

my 2 cents x

Seriously, Couldn’t agree more. Wish (I) had more bosses that would delegate more authority & STOP hugging chairs.
I'll let you know soon. .
