BURN IN HELL MUHANNAD! ! !

This FAKE Turkish/ arabic dubbed DRAMA soap opera series has got lots of people talking and doing stupid things in the ARAB world. . . .there were divorces and even beating each other!

It bothers me to see the negative effects of such series on our people and how it may brain –wash some females and Males in this country and other arab nations.

You see, it always starts like this (harmless, no harm in watching a show). . . . then escalates to something ugly:
Kiss me like MoHannaD, love me like he loves NOOR, , , ,
Oh I wish my husband was like him,,,
Oh why did I marry this animal.!?!
and so on......
The divorce rate in UAE is increasing at a faster pace than Oil prices!!!!
In one year, there were 4305 mariages while there were also 1326 divorces cases in that same year.
Abu Dhabi has the WORST record! It was indicated that 573 divorce cases were filed while only 291 marriages were made the same year.
42% of the divorces belong to 20 -30 years age group
(SHABAAB & SHABBAT!!!!!)
Well that SUCKS!
>_< !

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, if you want to get married or get a divorce. . . . take a moment and think!

Why do you want to get married?. . . . . .or Why do you want to get a divorce?
Just think, , , and take your TIME
Marriages & Divorces
are not
Sports or Games people play. . . .

Look at your kids (if you have them) and think, whats better for THEM… because once you have kids in a marriage, it’s not about you , me or I. .. . . it becomes about THEM. . . .About US
Anyways,I can't solve all problems. . . .but at least I tried. I’ll leave you with this doodle by Haroon

hahahah, funny, I used to despise the fact my sister opened the 24 hour mbc + channel to watch Noor reguarly. It is a lame program. Never thought of it as nice or anything but since everybody watches I enjoy watching them watch it and make jokes of them, hehe.

I was talking to my sister awhile ago and we argued about how people always look at things from the bad point of view the one that always affect them negatively.

Ok they watched the program, why not try become like them instead of "Kiss me like MoHannaD, love me like he loves NOOR, , , ,
Oh I wish my husband was like him,,,
Oh why did I marry this animal.!?!" try acting in a way that makes ur husband loves u more, likes to be around u ...etc. why not you the husband apologise more, send roses more often... etc and whatever it is.

instead they enjoy doing the opposite which is getting DIVORCED.

lol.. i didn't believe my mom when she told me about the lady who got divorced bcz she called her hubby "muhannad" !!

i still think its exaggeration.

I think its just like any other soap opera show. But its more like the mexican ones .. too long to many episodes.
I watched it and its just like any other show but its absolutely not good for anybody less than 12 years of age This what irritated me the most. Adults are adults they should have their own choices in life .. and getting divorce, trust me, will not be just bcz of some series its an accumulation of many things and this might just be an excuse to initiate the divorce. Dont forget divorces have been present since long time and didn't increase just about during the show of such series. there are many reasons that you overlooked mainly the way people get married in this region. Arranged marriages are still present in the same old fashion way.

It is hard for me to understand why some (not all) couples focus on the problem rather than finding mutually agreed resolutions to solve their problems. . . .
Plus, unfortunately some (not all) newly weds always paint a pink picture about the future. . .Its nice to hope for the best, one thing for sure though, there is not such thing as picture perfect for ever.
Concessions must be made for life to go on.

@ nooda:
My dear, the problem with some (not all) couples is lack of expressing demands in an acceptable / civilized way.

It appears that “NOOR” was a success (especially among females) mixed with disastrous consequences in the ARAB world.

In more than 1 household, I did notice that some (Females) glue themselves to the TV when the show starts because they find some kind of intrinsic satisfaction in that story. Let’s not deny it, some (not all) females even wish to be “NOOR” or wish for a husband that is a copy of MUHANNAD's looks and behavior .

It doesn’t matter if the show was Mexican, Indian, English….etc.

what matters is controlling emotions and not portraying oneself as a VICTIM because of a SHOW that was written and edited by someone.

As for adults, I am sorry to say that some (not all) still make the wrong decisions.

As for the subject of divorce, I know it has been present for long and not because of the show. What I was trying to say is: we have enough divorces in this country; we don’t need a show like “Noor” to increase it.

I know there are many reasons that drive couples to seek separation my dear. Talking about them one by one will take a long looooooooooong entry and careful analysis. Even if I did talk about them, I am honestly incapable of gathering all the facts because I am not a sociologist or a psychologist.

As for arranged marriages, I have not found a scientific study that claims the failure of arranged marriages and I really don't know if "Arranged" is better or worse than "un-arranged" because I was never married before. :-P
