Finally ! ! !
The Businss/ Financial media/ software giant decided to set shop in UAE for MENA coverage.
Ok, I won’t bore you with details about the market and how bad/ scared people are feeling these days about the downward in the global market due to the credit crunch (no its not a new brand of chocolate bar) because of the Sub Prime crises that has swept the globe like a brush fire.
I will tell you about how joyful the event was.

It commenced @ 5:00 p.m. and ended @ 8:00 p.m. but I left around 10:00 p.m. and drove all the way back to A.D.
It started with 3 panelists (the who’s who) of economics and investment strategy advisors discussing the crises and its impact on the Gulf. They mostly gave a rather dark view about what could happen in the next 3 months or so as the crises starts to escalates. But they mentioned that the GCC region is somewhat immune to the crises due to the cushion of CASH we are sitting on.
As time passed we moved outside to start NETWORKING and socializing. I noticed the dedication in the Bloomberg staff as they listened carefully to my demands regarding the system.
I Y Bloomberg terminals. . . . . just by looking at the machine, you can feel that someone out there spent long days and sleepless nights trying to figure out what does the customer want. Someone was thinking hard & smart, outside the box, squeezing his/ her brain out to make sure his/ her customer is satisfied.
Back to the staff, they were so keen and focused about my wants and needs. They handed gifts at the entrance. But I was one of the lucky few who got a B-Unit.
I love getting the royal treatment.
The event was totally something else. Oh, I never mentioned that before. Bloomberg offices are known to hold Art galleries & Evenets.
